Recycling Program Now Accepting Motor Oil, Scrap Metal

The Village of Oswego’s Electronics Recycling program has recently been expanded to include scrap metal and used motor oil.  Residents can arrive to an event where workers will assist in unloading of the materials to be recycled into the appropriate containers.

Recycling is available on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month (except November and December when it is held on the second Saturday only due to holidays); from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the south side of the Village’s Public Works Facility located at 100 Theodore Drive.

The program is free to the public.  For a full list of accepted items and a list of locations where to recycle materials other than electronics, scrap metal and oil, visit the ECO page from the Village’s website: www.oswegoil.org.  If you have questions, please call 630.554.3622 or email at eco@oswegoil.org.
