Attic Fire in Boulder Hill Causes Estimated $50,000 in Damages

Fire occurred approximately 7:15 p.m. on May 2.

Kendall County Sheriff's office Deputy Bryan Harl said that five cannabis plants were removed from the residence.

The Oswego Fire Protection District was dispatched Thursday night to a fire that occurred in the 100 block of Circle Drive East in Boulder Hill.

Upon arrival at approximately 7:15 p.m., fire companies found a working attic fire, said the fire department. All occupants of the residence were outside at the time of fire department’s arrival.

The fire department led an “aggressive interior attack” and the fire was under control within 15 minutes.

The loss estimated for both structure damage and content loss is $50,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
