Niche released its list of the best schools in the country on Monday.

OSWEGO, IL — Niche released its 2020 Best Schools list on Monday after looking at more than 94,000 public schools, 4,100 private schools and nearly 11,000 school districts across the country. Two Illinois schools even ranked among the top five in the nation. But how did Community Unit School District No. 308 rank?

The district's rankings were as follows:

  • Best School Districts in Illinois: No. 42 of 408
  • Best School Districts for Athletes in Illinois: No. 23 of 408
  • Most Diverse School Districts in Illinois: No. 107 of 643

According to Niche, "Oswego Community Unit School District No. 308 is a highly rated, public school district located in Oswego, IL. It has 18,121 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 16 to 1. According to state test scores, 43% of students are at least proficient in math and 50% in reading."
