Boil Order Issued Due To Broken Valve On Barnaby Drive: Village

As of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, water will be shut down for 2 hours, affecting approximately 20 houses between Quincy and Cornell drives.

OSWEGO, IL — According to a release, the Village of Oswego has issues a boil order for about 20 homes on Barnaby Drive, between Quincy and Cornell drives, as of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A broken valve along Barnaby Drive needs an emergency repair, which requires the water main to be shut down for approximately two hours, the release stated.

Public Works staff are on scene and will be knocking on doors to notify residents of the emergency repair and boil order. The order will be lifted after bacteriological samples have been taken.

Residents throughout the rest of Oswego may continue to use tap water as usual.
