Coach Hopes for 'Orange Out’ Conditions at Conference Title Game
OHS Dean Joe Sweeney asking fans to wear orange to show Panther pride.
Those attending Friday night’s football game will likely be greeted by a sea of orange.
At least that’s the hope of Dean Joe Sweeney, who is hoping for an “Orange Out” by fans to show their pride as the Panthers take on Minooka for the Southwest Prairie Conference Championship.
“We’re just trying to get all the fans on board to wear orange,” he said.
Sweeney, also a football coach, is known for his initiatives to encourage school spirit.
“Usually people get on board which is fun to see,” he said.
He hopes to see the Panthers take the championship.
“We’re just riding a winning streak right now, and we hope to care of business Friday night,” he said.
The Panthers sophomores take on Minooka at 5 p.m. and the varsity game starts at 7 p.m.
