
cleared its final hurdle Tuesday night with the Village Board giving its unanimous support for Special Use Permit for Beverage Producing, Bottling and Distribution at the Old Fire Barn on Main Street.
Cheers from several of the project’s supporters could be heard throughout after the vote, which came after no further discussion from trustees.
"We are all overwhelmed with the support from not only the village but from the residents of Oswego," said one of the business' partners, Jason Thalman, an Oswego resident. "We are committed to being a productive member of the business community of Oswego and want to be ambassadors in drawing business to the downtown area. I can say as a 12-year resident of Oswego, I love this town. I want nothing but the best for the community and will do everything in my power to support the growth and development of the business community."

Thalman said the next step in the process is to receive an appraisal on the fire barn. At that time a decision will be made as to whether they will lease to buy the property or buy it outright.
"Once we get our ducks in a row with the building, we will be starting the process of wrapping up the financials of the business plan," he said. "We still have a lot of work ahead of us and by no means will this be an easy road."

The location will brew and distribute three craft beers and will feature a tasting room and a space for larger gatherings. No food will be prepared on site. Thalman said.
