Diane L. Cain, 58, Passes After Courageous Battle with Lung Cancer

A gathering of family and friends for Diane Cain will be on Friday, Aug. 16 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Diane L. Cain, age 58 years, of Oswego, Illinois, passed away of lung cancer, August 14, 2013 after a long and courageous two and a half year battle with this horrific disease at the Tillers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oswego, Illinois.  She was born November 3, 1954 in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of Mark Keith and Dorothy Ruth nee Zaininger Brown. 

Diane enjoyed her work as a seamstress-designer at Hardy Industries.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, Derek (My Guy) and Nico (Little Bit).  Diane always looked forward to her girl’s weekend with her cousins Debbie, Jan and Kathy. 

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Cain, daughter Jennifer (Junior) Ocon of North Aurora, Illinois, son Jeremy “Jer Bear” Cain of Sandwich, Illinois, grandchildren Derek and Nico Ocon of North Aurora, Illinois, brothers Kenneth (Edie) Brown of Hennepin, Illinois, Gary (Margaret) Brown of Escondido, California, Randy Brown of Escondido, California and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Greg and a sister Karen.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, August 16, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, Illinois 60543.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Rush-Copley Cancer Center and the Tillers Nursing home for all the care they gave.
