Andrea Dawn, Ben Thomas, Pat Moynihan, Intimate Songwriter Concert at Rivers Edge Theatre

Local singer-songwriter Andrea Dawn will be performing an intimate concert on Friday, February 1 at the newly opened Rivers Edge Theatre in downtown Yorkville, IL.  The show will also feature local songwriters Ben Thomas and Pat Moynihan.  Doors open at 7:15pm, show starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased either in advance HERE or at the door.  The show is ALL AGES.

The performance comes on the heels of Andrea's new full-length, Theories of How We Can Be Friends, on Waterloo Sunset Records.  The record was mixed and mastered by Brian Zieske (The Academy Is, The Hush Sound), and this past summer, Andrea and her band embarked on a 12-date US Tour to support the record, including shows in Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, Austin, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, and Portland.

The new album has been featured on many radio stations across the country including KPSU Portland, KVRX Austin, KAMP Tucson, WLUW Chicago, and CJLO Montreal, Canada.  The record was also ranked in the Top 100 Albums of November for KALX Berkeley, CA. 

The record has also garnished widespread critical praise.  The Noise Beneath the Apple described the sound as "Powerful, passionate, and poetic...this is the beautiful work of a profoundly mature young artist, and she is one that you cannot afford to miss," while tm3am said the album was"Extraordinary, a triumphant and uncompromising coming out party for an uncommonly good singer and songwriter."  The record was equally well received by top music blog Beats Per Minute:

About Andrea Dawn:
