FedEx Driver Robbed With 'Implied Weapon' While Delivering Package In Oswego: Police
Oswego police are investigating the Wednesday afternoon incident as an armed robbery. The suspects remain at large, officials said.

OSWEGO, IL — Two men attempted to intercept a package delivery Wednesday afternoon in Oswego, shoving the FedEx driver and threatening to use a weapon, police said.
Oswego police are investigating the armed robbery after the two men fled in what was described as a black BMW.
Officers were dispatched around 1:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Waubonsee Circle for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The FedEx driver reported he was approached by two men as he was attempting to deliver a package. One of the men pretended to be the receipient when the homeowner appeared and said he was expecting a delivery, according to a news release.
“At that point, one of the males shoved the delivery driver, implied he had a weapon and threatened the driver,” spokesperson Cathy Nevada said. “No weapon was observed. The two males took the package, entered a black BMW, and were last seen heading west on Waubonsee Circle.”

Officers canvassed the area and used the department FLOCK license plate reader to search for the car but did not locate the suspects. Police said one of the men was described as tall, heavy set and wearing a black sweatshirt.
