Fire Causes $5K In Damages To Oswego Home: Fire Department

One person from the home was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the fire district reported.

OSWEGO, IL — A house is Oswego sustained an estimated $5,000 in damages caused by a fire Sunday afternoon, according to the Oswego Fire Protection District.

In a press release, the fire district said that firefighters responded to an alarm at the residence at approximately 2:20 p.m. and discovered a small fire in a bedroom. All occupants of the home were outside when firefighters arrived at the scene.

The fire was brought under control within five minutes and one person from the home was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the fire district said.

The Plainfield and Sugar Grove Fire Protection Districts provided station coverage for Oswego firefighters during the incident.
