Fire Completely Burns Down Oswego Auto Repair Shop
Firefighters described the building as a "complete loss" and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
OSWEGO, IL — An auto repair shop in unincorporated Oswego Township was destroyed by a fire early Monday morning, the Oswego Fire Protection District said.
Officials said in a release they responded to an automatic fire alarm shortly after 1 a.m. at the business located in the 12oo block of Route 30.
Upon arrival firefighters found the fire had burned through the roof of the building. It took firefighters approximately one hour of defensive operation to bring the fire under control and the building was described as a "complete loss."

An estimated dollar loss is not yet available and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No injuries have been reported.
The Plainfield Fire Protection District provided local station coverage for the Oswego firefighters.

Oswego Police said that due to the fire response, Route 30 was closed between Wolf's Crossing Road and Route 34. However, it is now open.
