Deals to Abound at Garage Sale By Kids, For Kids
The Kid's Summer Garage Sale, organized by the Oswegoland Park District, gives kids the chance to sell toys and other things they've outgrown.

Kids looking to score a deal on toys and games will surely find one Friday.
Back again is the Kid’s Summer Garage Sale event, organized by the , which allows children ages 7-12 to sell old toys and other items for profit.
This year’s sale is set for noon to 3 p.m. Friday, at the in Boulder Hill.

About 20 children are participating as sellers, said Cheryl Keilson, superintendent of early childhood at Oswegoland Park District.
And they’ll be selling a variety of items.

“We have toys, books, video games, decorative items for a child’s room, board games, etc.,” Keilson said.
She said families from all over the Fox Valley take advantage of the garage sale.
“Some come to shop for the bargains and others come for the free popcorn and lemonade,” she said. “The event was created as a celebration to the end of summer.”
