Grease Fire Closes Oswego McDonald's
The fire got hot enough to activate a sprinkler system.

OSWEGO, IL —Oswego firefighters responded to a fire at a McDonald's restaurant in the 300 block of Douglas Road Thursday afternoon. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the roof of the business.
The blaze began as a grease fire in the fryer, and the blaze activated the fire extinguishing system, officials said. The fire also got hot enough to activate a sprinkler head in the attic, as well as igniting some of the insulation around the hood system's exhaust pipe.
Officials said the business suffered "extensive damage" and will be closed for an unknown amount of time.
