Injured Marine Heading to Super Bowl with Punky QB
Kyle Moser will be the special guest of Jim McMahon and Hope for the Warriors.

Since losing both his legs and part of his hand to an explosion in Afghanistan in November, Oswego’s Kyle Moser has spent virtually all of his time inside hospitals.
That will all change this weekend as the 2010 graduate and U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal will attend the Super Bowl in Indianapolis as the special guest of former Chicago Bear quarterback and Super Bowl champ himself Jim McMahon.
The trip is being coordinated by Hope for the Warriors, a group that works “to enhance quality of life for U.S. service members and their families nationwide who have been adversely affected by injuries or death in the line of duty.”

Moser came to be the guest of McMahon when the two met via Skype at a birthday party for Moser in December held at Walter Reed Medical Center, where he has been in recovery. According to a news release from Hope for the Warriors, McMahon has been a longtime supporter of service members and his message to Moser was to work hard on his recovery so that he could join the outspoken NFL star for the big game.
“It was so exciting to be in the room and see Kyle’s face when he heard Jim’s invitation,” Hope For The Warriors President Robin Kelleher said. “The Super Bowl became a great motivator for Kyle and put him on the path to recovery.”

While in Indianapolis, which is Moser’s first trip outside of his recovery, he will also attend several parties and events with support from Hope for the Warriors.
