Kendall Co. Coronavirus Update: 769 Cases, 400 In Recovery

No additional deaths have been reported as of Wednesday, May 27, according to the Kendall County Coroner's Office.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — In a news release on Wednesday, May 27, the Kendall County Health Department reported a total of 769 confirmed coronavirus cases in the county.


The total number of county residents to have died remained at 22, as of Wednesday, and 400 county residents were listed as in recovery from COVID-19.

The Kendall County Coroner's Office wrote in a social media statement Wednesday that as of May 27, there have been no additional coronavirus-related deaths reported within Kendall County. The last reported death due to COVID-19 was on May 9.

The statement also said there will be no more weekly updates regarding COVID-19 related deaths from the coroner's office.

As of Saturday, May 23, there have been 30 reported cases of COVID-19 and seven deaths at Symphony At The Tillers in Oswego, five reported cases and two deaths at Hillside Rehab & Care Center in Yorkville, and four reported cases and three deaths at Association for Individual Development in Aurora, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health website.

State health officials on Wednesday announced 1,111 new cases of the coronavirus and 160 additional deaths from COVID-19. That marks a significant spike after a decline in recent days that was probably attributable to slower counting over the holiday weekend. The statewide total now stands at 114,306 confirmed infections and 5,083 known deaths.
