Kendall Co. Man Charged with Pornography, Sexual Assault Of Child

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — A Plattville man has been charged by the Kendall County State's Attorney with four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and 11 counts of child pornography, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office identified him as Shane English, 37, of the 13000 block of Church Road, Plattville, in Lisbon Township, in a Friday press release.

On Wednesday, the sheriff's detectives received information based on a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detectives started a criminal investigation, and a search warrant was obtained on Thursday.

The evidence identified during this lead to an additional search warrant being executed at the residence on Friday, as a result of which, English was arrested, police said. All 15 charges against him are Class X felonies.

English was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office awaiting bond call.
