Kendall County Fair Cancelled Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

The fair was scheduled to take place July 30-Aug. 2 at the fairgrounds on Route 71 near Yorkville.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — In a social media post, the Kendall County Fair Board announced that this year's Kendall County Fair is cancelled due to the pandemic. The fair was scheduled to take place July 30-Aug. 2 at the fairgrounds on Route 71 near Yorkville.

The Fair Board announced their decision in a post on their Facebook page Tuesday afternoon. The post said:

"Here at the Kendall County Fairgrounds, the highlight of our year is the annual #kendallcountyfair. The togetherness, the community, the food and fun - all of it is our favorite! This year was to be no different.
"However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and phased guidelines from Governor Pritzker and local health officials regarding social distancing, careful monitoring of the situation has taken place and difficult challenges have been faced. After careful consideration of all aspects of the Kendall County Fair - from Livestock exhibitions, to food and commercial vending, and crowd control - the Kendall County Fair Board has decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest to postpone the Fair until July 29 - August 1, 2021."
