Kendall County Sheriff Issues Over 100 Citations At Christmas, NYE

The sheriff's office participated in a "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign, targeting impaired drivers from Dec. 13 to Jan. 2.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office unveiled how many tickets they issued during the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign from Dec. 13 to Jan. 2.

Officials said deputies wrote 121 citations for traffic offenses and made seven driving-under-the-influence-related arrests.

"We can't emphasize this enough: impaired driving is a dangerous gamble," Undersheriff Bobby Richardson said in a statement. "It's illegal, reckless, and endangers the lives of everyone on the road. Initiatives like 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' allow us to confront this issue head-on and deliver a strong message. If you’re under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any other substance, do not drive."
