Deputies will participate in a statewide effort to "keep roads safe during one of the most celebrated drinking holidays of the year."
OSWEGO, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is launching an enforcement campaign targeting impaired and dangerous driving ahead of St. Patrick's Day.
From March 7-18, deputies will participate in the statewide effort to "remind motorists of the dangers of impaired driving and to help keep our streets safe." St. Patrick's Day falls on Monday, March 17.
The sheriff's office is joining the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police and local law enforcement agencies to be out in full force looking for impaired drivers, speeding, distracted driving and seat belt violations, especially at night.
