North Aurora Man Charged with Multiple Sex Offenses
Kendall County, IL (February 2, 2022, 3:15 PM)
Sixty-seven-year-old Jaime Reyes of North Aurora is in custody today. He is facing multiple sex offense charges following a complex and lengthy investigation by Kendall County Sheriff’s Office detectives.
In October of 2017, Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives began investigating a report of a possible Criminal Sexual Assault. As the investigation progressed, additional allegations were made by multiple victims, all of which involved the same individual.
After a thorough investigation into the allegations, on January 24th, 2022, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office Charged Reyes with three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault (each a class X felony), three counts of Criminal Sexual Assault (each a class 1 felony), and 12 counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (each a class 2 felony). The charges stem from three separate cases and occurred over the course of several years.
Reyes was taken into custody on February 2 by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the United States Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Jaime Reyes is currently in custody at the Kendall County Corrections Center, and his bond has been set at $250,000/10%.
Sheriff Dwight Baird stated, “The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting our most vulnerable populations. This case demonstrates that and further reinforces our commitment by ensuring any such victim receives the justice they deserve.”
