
A Hoffman Estates man has been charged with sexually abusing an Oswego boy under the age of 13, according to Oswego Police.
John L. Agresta, 44, of the 1800 block of Huntington Boulevard, Hoffman Estates was arrested at his home Friday and transferred to the Oswego Police Department after an investigation revealed he had been abusing the boy from April 1 to June 30, police said.
Agresta was known as a family friend, police said. The parents notified police July 13, and an investigation followed.

The Kendall State’s Attorney office authorized charges last week of one count of predatory criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Bail was set at $200,000.
