2 Bikes Stolen From Dick's Sporting Goods, 1 Man Arrested: Oswego Police
Oswego police recovered two stolen bikes from his Aurora residence, officials said. A second suspected bike thief was still at large.

OSWEGO, IL — An Aurora man is facing burglary and theft charges after he reportedly stole from Dick's Sporting Goods in Oswego, police said.
A caller reported to Oswego police Friday morning that two men each took a bicycle from the store, at 2470 Route 34, without paying. Officers arrived at the store at 10:05 a.m. while the theft was in progress, according to a news release.
Police found one of the suspects, identified as 37-year-old Marcello Esquivel-Medina, on Route 34. He had two other bikes with him, officials said.

Officers later searched Esquivel-Medina's residence, located in the 600 block of South Union Street in Aurora, and recovered two stolen bicycles, the release said.
Esquivel-Medina was arrested and charged with one count of felony retail theft and one count of burglary to a building. He was booked at the Kendall County jail Friday afternoon and released Saturday morning with pre-trial conditions, according to the jail log.

The second suspect had not been located as of Friday night. Patch has reached out to police for additional information.
The investigation remains ongoing. Officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Oswego Police Department at 630-551-7300 or submit an anonymous tip to Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. The organization offers a cash reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to arrests.
