Marilyn J. Newton Carter, 76, was a Switchboard Operator at Rush-Copley
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday July 13 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Marilyn J nee Newton Carter, age 76, of Aurora, IL died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Countryside Care Center in Aurora, IL. She was born October 5, 1936 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Leroy R and Angeline B nee Rollings Newton.
Marilyn was a switchboard operator at Rush-Copley Medical Center for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Aurora, IL and loved Old Country Buffet, Bills Restaurant, shopping on QVC and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Jodeen VanDoozer her children Heather VanDoozer, James (Molly Fitzgerald) VanDoozer and great grandson Carter VanDoozer all of Millington, IL, her sister Betty (Bob) Barbel of Aurora, IL, Rosemary (Robert) Tinsley of Montgomery, IL, Joanne Arnold of Aurora, IL, her brothers Earl Newton of Aurora, IL, Don (Dorothy) Newton of Oakhurst, CA, Dick Newton of Clovis, CA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Tom Carter, brother Jack Newton and sister-in-law Patricia Newton.
A gathering of family/friends will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family.
