Miles For Matt Keeps Rollin' in 4th Year
OHS grads raise $2,600 for suicide awareness.
Last Sunday's Miles For Matt Fundraiser to benefit Suicide Prevention Services in Batavia raised more than $2,600, according to its co-founder and Oswego High School grad Lauren Lawson.
Lawson, who now attends Aurora University, said about 200 people took part in the walk at OHS' Ken Pickerill Stadium, which was good considering the "number of conflicting graduations."
"It was wonderful to see a majority of new faces around the stadium," she said.

The walk is in honor of fellow OHS student Matt Dennis, who took his own life in 2007. Next year will be the event's fifth. Lawson said she and co-founder Rebecca Wheeler, also an OHS grad, are already in the planning stages.
