No More On-Street Overnight Parking In Oswego Starting Oct. 1

The parking restrictions had been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

OSWEGO, IL — Overnight parking restrictions in Oswego, which were temporarily suspended at the start of the COVID-19 crisis, will go back into effect on Oct. 1, the village said in a release.

The village of Oswego prohibits parking on the streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. throughout the area, with certain exceptions in neighborhoods adjacent to downtown and in the Hometown neighborhood.

At the start of the pandemic, on-street parking restrictions were temporarily suspended to accommodate college students and other family members sheltering at home during the statewide stay-at-home order and related closures. The parking restrictions will be enforced again beginning Oct. 1 to accommodate fall curbside leaf collection and winter snow removal.
