Oswego Country Market Opens Sunday With New Format Amid Pandemic
The market will run from June 28-Oct. 18 this year with strict safety guidelines in place.
OSWEGO, IL — As the state moved to Phase 4 of the governor's Restore Illinois reopening plan Friday and residents everywhere learned to embrace the new normal, the Oswegoland Park District announced the return of its beloved farmers' market.
The Oswego Country Market will open Sunday on Main Street, and with the health and safety of the community in mind, market staff have added certain modifications this year amid the pandemic.
Based on the guidance provided by the Illinois Farmers Market Association and the Kendall County Health Department, the market will be making the temporary shift toward an in-and-out-style market. Shoppers will follow a designated entrance and exit that establishes a one-way traffic flow through the market to visit favorite vendors, the park district said on its website.
