Oswego D308 Switches To E-Learning Due To Forecast Snow Storm
Hazardous and difficult travel was predicted at the time when students would be dismissed from school, District 308 officials said.
OSWEGO, IL — Oswego Community Unit School District 308 implemented an e-learning day Wednesday due to heavy snow in the forecast.
The storm, expected Wednesday, could bring 6 inches or more of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Snowfall rates of an inch per hour are possible in the afternoon and evening Wednesday.
With hazardous and difficult travel predicted at the time when students would be dismissed, district officials decided not to open school buildings on Wednesday as a precaution.

All athletics, after-school activities, building rentals and Kids Connection were also canceled.
Students were instructed to access their emergency learning plans for more information about activities, attendance, assignments and schedules.
