Oswego Fire Protection District Raising Money for Children's Burn Camp
The Show Your Car / Show You Care event is on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The Oswego Fire Protection District and Harry's Automotive shop are teaming up to host the car show "Show Your Car / Show You Care" to raise money for a children's burn camp, Camp I Am Me.
The event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Oswego Home Depot, 3080 Route 34 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
"Burn Camp seems to take a back seat to other high profile, charitable organizations so we got together with Harry's Automotive and are going to try helping out in this way," said OFPD Lt. John Cornish.
The event schedule is as follows:
8 a.m. - car show begins
11 a.m. - Oswego fire technical rescue team demonstration (rappelling)
12 p.m. - Oswego Fire honor guard posting the colors
12:05 p.m. - National Anthem
12:!5 p.m. - Oswego Fire Dept. pipes and drums corps performance
2 p.m. Oswego Fire Technical rescue team (victim rescue)
3 p.m. - Car show award presentation
"This is a great opportunity for our community to come out for a worthy cause. Let’s show the community and the kids at Burn Camp how much we care," said Cornish.
