Oswego Police Charge Joliet Women in Prostitution Sting

Arrests were made at an Oswego hotel.

Two Joliet women were charged with prostitution at an undisclosed Oswego hotel late Thursday night.

Cathleen Legare, 27, and Brittany Martin, 18, both of the 900 block of Lois Place, Joliet, were charged with misdemeanor prostitution and were released after posting bond, according to an Oswego Police news release.

Oswego Police conducted an undercover investigation using adult-oriented ads posted to a website. Detectives posed as potential patrons to document offers to exchange money for sex.

“Oswego Police will continue to periodically conduct these investigations to deter this type of activity,” the release said.
