Oswego Police Searching for Missing Teen

are searching for a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since Thanksgiving.

Anna Jean Kapton, also known as Anna Jean Johncours or Anna Jean Griffin, is a ward of the state who has run away once before, according to an Oswego police news release. Police have learned that she may have recently been in DeKalb or Northlake. They classified her as an "endangered runaway."

She also may be on her way to Little Rivers, SC, where her biological father lives. She is described as 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 175 pounds, police said. She also has a pierced lower lip.

Anna has been entered into the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children database.
