Oswego Resident Charged With DUI Following Crash In Yorkville
Kara Marie Fecarotta-Lumino hit two pedestrian control signal posts at the intersection and a Honda Odyssey driven by a Yorkville resident.
OSWEGO, IL — An Oswego resident has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a crash in Yorkville on Tuesday. Kara Marie Fecarotta-Lumino, 28, of the 5300 block of Half Round Road was driving a car that was involved in a crash at 3:15 p.m.
In a press release, Yorkville police said the accident occurred as Fecarotta-Lumino was driving her 2015 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Route 34 at Route 47. The vehicle swerved right, striking two pedestrian control signal posts at the intersection and a Honda Odyssey driven by a Yorkville resident that was stopped for a red light in the southbound lane on Route 47.
Police also said a witness and the driver of the Honda Odyssey followed Fecarotta-Lumino's vehicle to the 500 block of West Kendall Street where officers conducted their investigation into the crash and placed the suspect arrest.

In addition to the DUI charge, police said they cited Fecarotta-Lumino with improper lane usage and no proof of insurance.
According to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, Fecarotta-Lumino later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
