
If you’re looking for a fun time, a good laugh, or maybe want to try your hand at improv, then you don’t want to miss Oswego Toastmasters’ 'Night at the Improv' at 7 p.m. tonight, at the Little White School Museum, 72 Polk St., in downtown .
Oswego Toastmasters is a local branch of Toastmasters International, a world leader in communication and leadership development. The local club, which serves the Fox Valley communities of Oswego, Yorkville, Montgomery, Plano, Sandwich and Aurora, organized the “Night at the Improv” event to give community members an opportunity to experience what Toastmasters is all about and to meet its members.
“We’ve planned an exciting event that’s bound to be full of fun and loaded with laughs. We invite everyone from the community to come and check it out,” said Joyce Schumpert, a member of Oswego Toastmasters who will emcee the event.

Schumpert has completed several improv training courses at The Second City in Chicago.
“Good improv is all about listening, thinking and connecting with your audience, and those are key skills that Toastmasters helps us develop," she said.

During tonight's event, members and guests will enjoy a host of improv games and exercises designed to get them thinking, listening and laughing. Anyone is invited to participate in the improv exercises, but participation is not required to attend the event.
“We just want people to have fun and learn a little about Oswego Toastmasters and its members in the process,” said Karen Benjamin, president of Oswego Toastmasters. “The goal of all of our meetings is to provide a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skill
