The Oswegoland Woman’s Civic Club was founded in 1928, so you can imagine the many projects they have been involved in. One of them, the Art Appreciation Program at all of our District 308 elementary schools was begun by the club as Picture Lady and continues today. Two graduating students, one from OHS and one from OEHS, win a $1000 scholarship each year. Additional projects are PJs for Mutual Ground, Kendall County Food Pantry, Tiller’s, Hands of Hope for cancer treatment center, flower planting at Welcome to Oswego sign, Veterans, and more.
Following are some of the ways members personally benefit: a chance to meet women in your area with interests like yours including monthly Dinner with Friends, enrich your personal and leadership skills, community involvement, informative programs to learn what’s going on around you, and so much more, all while giving you a great feeling by doing for others so much more than you could do on your own.
