Wednesday, July 17
Warrant
Jeremy L. Lewis, 34, of the 0-99 block of Linden Street, Plano, was arrested at 10:28 p.m. at Route 34 and Douglas and charged with a warrant, said Oswego police.

Oswego police are investigating a hit and run that occurred at 5:23 p.m. at Kendall Point Drive and Route 34. An unknown vehicle hit a tree on Kendall Point Drive and then fled the scene.

- Oswego police are investigating a reported theft and fraudulent credit card usage that occurred in the 2200 block of Route 30. The victim’s wallet was stolen and an unlawful credit card charge was made. Total stolen is reported at $180.
- Oswego police are investigating a reported theft of a wallet that occurred at an unknown time in the 2200 block of Route 30. The victim’s wallet was stolen and loss is estimated at $80.
Monday, July 15
Counterfeit money
Oswego police took a report for counterfeit money that occurred at 12:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of Route 34. Someone passed counterfeit money at the retail establishment.
Criminal damage to property
Oswego police are investigating a reported criminal damage to property that occurred at an unknown time at Village Hall. Someone spray painted Village Hall and at this time damage is unknown. The police said they do not believe the graffiti was gang related.
Theft
- Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Carnation. Someone entered the victim’s open garage and removed a wallet from a purse located inside a vehicle. The wallet contained cash, credit cards and other items valued at $2,662. Anyone who saw any suspicious subjects in the area is asked to call the police.
- Oswego police took a report for a theft that occurred at an unknown time. The victim reported that someone fraudulently charged $250 to their bank account.
Robbery
Oswego police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 10:50 p.m. in the 500 block of Valentine Way. $75 was reported stolen.
Saturday, July 13
Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol, DWLS
Kelsey Brouse, 20, of the 26800 block of North 144th Street, Surprise, Arizona, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34 and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol and driving on a suspended license, said Oswego police.
Theft
Oswego police are investigating a reported theft of a national French flag that was stolen between 9 p.m. on July 12 and 9:24 a.m. on July 13 in the 700 block of Pinehurst Lane. The 3’x5’ flag was taken from the exterior of the residence and is valued at $75.
Hit and run
Oswego police took a report for a hit and run that occurred between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the 2300 block of Route 34.
Friday, July 12
Criminal trespass, aggravated assault
Shawn E. Lerang, 27, of the 600 block of South River Street, Aurora, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. at Benston and Wilson and charged with criminal trespass and aggravated assault, said Oswego police.
Thursday, July 11
No valid driver’s license
- A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 2 p.m. at Douglas and Wisebrook Drive and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding, said Oswego police.
- Salvador Frausto of the 800 block of Symphony Drive, Aurora, was arrested at Orchard Road and Tuscany Trail and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding, said Oswego police.
Theft
Oswego police are investigating a reported theft that occurred at an unknown time in the 200 block of Morgan Valley Drive. The victim reported a theft from his wallet including $300 in cash, a credit card and an Illinois driver’s license.
