Photo Slideshow: Skaters Dedicate New Park

Prairie SK8 Jam goes on despite heat, thunderstorm.

Dozens of skaters, BMXers and spectators came out despite stifling heat and a brief thunderstorm to Prairie Point Park Saturday for the official dedication of Oswegoland Park District's skate park.

The event, which was rescheduled form its original May 21 date, included live music from local bands, demos from skaters and BMXers, skate clinics, and giveaways from skate vendors.

The Overall winners of the Best Trick Jam were Brian Rodriquez (Under 17 division) and Justin Gibble (17 and Older).
