Oswego police reports, Dec. 28 - Jan. 1

Sunday, Jan. 1

DUI

  • Michael Olsen, 25, of Naperville was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control devise at about 1:45 a.m. at Route 34 and Pearce’s Ford Road, according to an Oswego police report. He was given a Jan. 27 court date.

  • David Scholtz, 21, of Plano, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage at about 2 a.m. Sunday at Route 71 and Forest Avenue, according to an Oswego police report.  He was given a Jan. 17 court date.

Saturday, Dec. 31

Purse taken

An Aurora woman reported to Oswego police that someone stole her purse after she accidentaly left it in her shopping cart and left the store while she shopped at Walmart at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday. The value of the purse and its contents was estimated at $750.

DUI

Brandon T. Navarro, 23, 641 Manhattan Circle, Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage after a single-car crash at about 3 a.m. at Collins and Buckskin roads, according to an Oswego police report. He treatment and was not taken to the hospital.

Friday, Dec. 30

Illegal transportation of alcohol

Andy Ferrer, 26, 163 Dolores St., Oswego, was charged with driving with license suspended, no seatbelt and illegal transportation alcohol at about noon Friday at routes 30 and 34, according to an Oswego police report. He was given a Jan. 27 court date.

DUI

Ryan Tuazon, 31, of Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 1 a.m. Friday at Route 34 and Mason Square Drive, according to an Oswego police report.  He was given a Feb. 10 court date.

Thursday, Dec. 29

Marijuana possession

Lauren Apolzan, 21, of 316 Northhampton Drive, Oswego, was charged with possession of marijuana at about 1:30 a.m. at Route 34 and Pearce’s Ford Drive, according to an Oswego police report. She was given a Jan. 13 court date.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

Break-in

A home in the 200 block of Wilson Place was broken into sometime before 11:50 a.m. Dec. 28, according to an Oswego police report. About $3,600 in items were taken, including three TVs, a video game system, iPad, and a DVD player. Police said no forced entry was made and it is believed that the home was left unlocked.
