Car hits pedestrians
responded to the parking lot of Walmart for a 30-year-old mother and child who were struck by a car at about 12:30 p.m. Monday, according to a police report. The mother and child were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center with only minor injuries. No charges were filed against the driver — a 60-year-old Oswego man.

Jose D. Cortez. 33, 220 Clubhouse Lane, Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding at about 2:20 a.m. Monday at Route 30 and Goodwin Avenue, according to Oswego police. He was given a Sept. 23 court date.

An Oswego man reported about $1,000 in damage to his vehicle while it was parked at his home in the 400 block of Main Street before 2:35 p.m. Monday, according to Oswego police.

DUI
A 17-year-old Naperville boy was charged with driving under the influence, consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal lane use and no signal at about 11 p.m. Saturday at Chicago Road and Route 34, according to Oswego police. He was given an Oct. 14 court date.

Vehicle damaged
Another vehicle was damaged overnight in the 400 block of Main Street before 11:45 a.m. Sept. 1, according to Oswego police. About $1,000 in damage was done.
