Frederick Straub, 49, of 241 Paradise Parkway in Oswego, was charged with battery at about 8:15 p.m. Monday at his home, according to an report. He was given a Feb. 24 court date.

An student at Oswego High School reported a cell phone taken from a locker room at the school at about 11:30 a.m. Friday, according to an Oswego police report. The value of the phone was estimated at $300.

Theft

A 16-year-old Oswego girl was charged with theft of mislaid property at Oswego High School at about 11:30 a.m. Feb. 1, according to an Oswego police report. The value of the item was placed at about $80.

Battery

A 15-year-old Aurora boy was charged with battery at about 9:15 a.m. Friday at Oswego East High School, according to a police report. The victim, a 15-year-old Oswego resident, was taken to the hospital by a parent, the report said.
