Police Investigate Prank 911 Calls

Several law enforcement agencies called to town to assist with false reports.

are investigating two prank 911 calls that led to dozens of law enforcement officers from several agencies to converge on two homes Wednesday night.

According to police, the first call came in at about 7:20 p.m. and the second came almost exactly an hour later. Both calls reported very serious incidents, police said.

According to witnesses, the first call came from the Farmington Lakes area with the second in Hometown. In both cases, police were seen with guns drawn.

“No arrests have been made at this time and Oswego Police continue to investigate these calls and will work to hold those involved accountable,” said a police news release.
