Prairie Point Park Splash Pad To Open Monday With COVID-19 Rules

Staff members will be present to monitor capacity and sanitize equipment between splash times.

OSWEGO, IL — The splash pad at Prairie Point Park will open Monday as the state moves to Phase 4 of the governor's reopening plan amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Civic Center Aquatic Park however will remain closed for the season, said Oswegoland Park District Executive Director Richard Zielke.

The popular splash pad at 4120 Plainfield Road had remained closed pending guidance from the state. The district announced on social media Thursday that it will allow a maximum of 50 patrons at any given time and social distancing needs to be practiced.

Staff members will be present to monitor capacity and sanitize equipment between splash times. Everyone must exit during breaks for facility cleaning/disinfecting.
