Relay for Life Kickoff Party Set for Next Month

Friends, neighbors and cancer survivors are coming together for an energizing “Souper Saturday” celebration on Saturday, Feb. 18 to kick off the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Oswego/Montgomery.

The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at located at 1976 Route 25 in Oswego. Anyone who wishes to form a team, volunteer to help with planning the event, or wants to hear more about this year’s highlights is encouraged to attend. A variety of homemade soup and chili will be available to try for a $1 donation to the American Cancer Society.

Relay For Life is an overnight event to “Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.”  The event celebrates the lives of those who have had cancer, remembers loved ones lost to the disease and rallies individuals to fight back against a disease that takes too much. Teams raise funds, before and during the event, to fight cancer. The Relay For Life of Oswego/Montgomery will be held from 6:00PM Friday, June 22nd to 6AM Saturday, June 23^rd at on Route 71 in Oswego.
