Residents Laid Off Due To COVID-19 Will Get Credit On Water Bill
The Village of Oswego announced Thursday that residents unemployed due to the pandemic can apply for a one-time $20 credit.
OSWEGO, IL — Residents who have been laid off due to the pandemic can now apply for a credit on their water bills, the Village of Oswego announced in a release Thursday.
The village is offering a $20 one-time credit on water bills. To apply, residents must fill out a short online form and submit proof of unemployment, such as a statement from an employer or a letter from the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
They will also require their utility account number. To qualify, residents must be currently unemployed, furloughed after March 16 or currently receiving unemployment benefits from Illinois.
