Results Released From Kendall County Sheriff Thanksgiving Enforcement

Deputies made 112 traffic stops during its Thanksgiving traffic safety campaign from Nov. 22 to Dec. 2.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office released Thursday afternoon the results from its Thanksgiving enforcement, revealing the department netted 45 citations and three arrests.

From Nov. 22 and Dec. 2, the sheriff's office conducted a "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" traffic safety campaign to remind drivers to buckle up and drive sober.

During the mobilization, deputies made 112 traffic stops, issued 45 citations, and made three driving-under-the-influence-related arrests and one traffic-related arrest.

The campaign hours worked by the sheriff's office resulted in an additional eight speeding citations and one traffic arrest, according to a news release.

"We will continue to promote traffic safety by encouraging safe driving practices," Undersheriff Bobby Richardson said in a statement. "Safe driving habits not only protect you and the passengers in your vehicle, they protect everyone on the road."

The enforcement period was paid for using federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
