Man Threw Metal Tool At Truck In Road Rage Incident: Oswego Police
Oswego police were initially dispatched to investigate a report of shots fired on Douglas Road.

OSWEGO, IL — A report of shots fired Wednesday on Douglas Road turned out to be a "road rage incident" that led to an Aurora man being arrested, Oswego police said.
A man and a woman were detained and brought to the Oswego Police Department for questioning after a caller reported shots were fired in a road rage incident around 7:51 p.m. near Douglas Road and Wiesbrook Drive.
During the investigation, officers determined two people met in a store parking lot at 2450 Route 30 and had a disagreement. One left in a truck and the other followed, headed westbound on Wiesbrook Drive to Douglas Road, where police say the victim reported hearing a loud noise and felt something hit the truck.

The sound, spokesperson Cathy Nevara said, was a metal hand tool hitting the truck. Police found no evidence of weapons or gunshots on the scene.
Emerson Guerrero, 22, was charged with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. The Aurora man was wanted on a no-bond warrant for violating a pretrial release for an aggravated battery charge out of Kane County, police said.

Guerrero was taken to the Kendall County jail, where he remains as of Thursday morning. The woman was released without charges.

Police published an alert on Facebook just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, saying there was an abundance of police officers along Douglas Road between Wiesbrook Drive and Farmington Lakes Drive. Officials had said there was no threat to the public but suggested drivers avoid the area.
The roads were cleared by 10:20 p.m., according to an update. The incident remains under investigation.
