Scammers Trade Fake Cellphone For Cash: Oswego PD
An Aurora woman was swindled after a Facebook sale.

OSWEGO, IL —A woman looking to buy a phone was scammed out of her money in Oswego last week, police said. According to a police report, the woman arranged to buy a phone for $600 over Facebook.
But after the money changed hands and the suspects left, the woman discovered the phone was fake.
The sale took place just before 8 p.m. outside an Oswego drug store, according to the police report. The woman reported the theft the following morning.
