Snapshot: Grande Park Elementary Students Visited by Sons of the American Revolution
Students learned about topics from the Declaration of Independence to the American Flag.
Fourth grade students at Grande Park Elementry had a special treat when two guest volunteers from the Sons of the American Revolution came to visit on April 9.
The guests dressed up in authentic American Revolution outfits, discussed a number of topics with the students from the Declaration of Independence to the American Flag.
"This presentation was a direct connection to what the students are currently learning in Social Studies. The students had a great time and the visit generated many excellent conversations!" said Sean Smith, assistant principal at Grande Park.
