Whiz Kid: This 10-Year-Old Walks the Walk

Name: Dylan Engler

School: Lakewood Creek Elementary

Grade: Fifth

Accomplishments: During school, Dylan is a great example to his classmates by: following directions, helping students, and helping his teacher.  He also shows responsibily by helping out with Safety Patrol.

At the end of each day, Dylan helps Kindergarten students make their way to the Parent Pick-up line.  Outside of school, Dylan spends a lot of time playing sports.  He currently plays baseball and also enjoys basketball and football.  When he's not doing sports, he loves to read!   

Recently, Dylan took time out of his very busy schedule to go see his favorite author, Margaret Peterson Haddix.  Dylan LOVES to read and Haddix is his "go-to" author.  His favorite Haddix books are Sent and Among the Hidden.
