7 Vehicles Targeted In Overnight Crime Spree: Palos Hills PD
Six vehicles parked in community lots were broken into during an overnight crime spree Dec. 27 in Palos Hills. Another car was also swiped.
PALOS HILLS, IL — Car burglars had themselves a late Christmas during an overnight burglary spree. Seven vehicles were broken into during the overnight hours of Dec. 27, with property stolen ranging from GPS trackers and cell phones to perfume, a wallet and a child’s stuffed toy, Palos Park police said.
All but one of the motor vehicle break-ins took place in community parking lots of apartment and condominium complexes. Another car that was parked in a private driveway was stolen. It is not known if the incidents are related.
- On the 8500 block of 99th Terrace, someone broke the window and grabbed perfume and a cell phone of a vehicle parked in a community lot;
- Also on the 8500 block of 99th Terrace, a resident told officers they found shattered glass from their car window. A GPS unit was stolen;
- Over on the 10200 block of 86th Terrace, someone smashed the window of a vehicle parked in a community lot. The report did not indicate if anything was stolen;
- On the 8500 block of 103rd Terrace, a vehicle was targeted in a community lot, where someone broke a car window and swiped a wallet; and
- Burglars stole $100 cash from a vehicle parked in a community lot on the 9900 block of South Hill Terrace.
Two vehicles parked on driveways were also targeted. Officers were called to the 10000 block of 86th Court where the owner found their vehicle window broken. Clothing and a child’s stuffed toy were stolen.

On the 10100 block of 86th Court, a resident reported that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway in the 10100 block of 86th Court.
