Administrators Stepping Into New Leadership Roles at Palos School District 118
Palos School District 118 will kick off their 2025-26 school year on August 20 with four administrators taking on new leadership roles.

Palos School District 118 will kick off the 2025-26 school year with several administrators taking on new leadership roles.
Rob Szklanecki, who previously served as the principal at Palos East Elementary, has stepped into the role of Director of Teaching and Learning where he will oversee curriculum and instructional support for the district. He has been with Palos 118 since 2015.
Allison Grasso has been named the new Palos East Elementary Principal. She joined the District in 2023, serving as Assistant Principal at Palos East. She previously worked as a Language Arts and Math teacher at Oster-Oakview School in New Lenox.

The District has also promoted two veteran staffers to serve as assistant principals starting this fall.
Sara Leahy, the new Palos South Assistant Principal, began her career with D118 in 2003 as a School Social Worker at Palos East. She moved to Palos South in 2016 where she has worked to promote social emotional development and school safety through clubs and activities.

New Palos East Assistant Principal Andrea Ramoley began her career in District 118 in 2002 as a first-grade teacher. She has also taught at Palos West across several grade levels and most recently served as a Math Coach at Palos West Elementary.
Dr. Anthony Scarsella, Superintendent of Schools for Palos School District 118, said that the recent promotions reflect the district’s commitment to providing opportunities for staff to grow during their careers with D118.
“At Palos 118, we believe in growing our leaders from within and the recent promotions of our Director of Teaching and Learning, as well as new principal and assistant principals reflect the incredible talent, dedication, and passion our staff bring to their work,” he said, adding, “Our district provides an environment where educators can challenge themselves, expand their skills, and make a lasting difference in the lives of students—and I’m proud to see these leaders take the next step in their careers.”
