Boy, 12, Dies After Falling In Lake At Cook County Campground
The incident happened around 7:45 p.m. Friday, according to a Cook County Forest Preserve spokesperson.

WILLOW SPRINGS, IL — A 12-year-old boy is dead after officials said he fell into a lake at a campground in Willow Springs.
According to a Cook County Forest Preserve spokesperson, a dive team from the North Palos Fire Department responded to Camp Bullfrog Lake around 7:45 p.m. Witnesses said the boy and his 9-year-old brother were in the lake after one of them slipped in.
According to officials, the boy was unresponsive when first responders pulled him from the water. He was taken to Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital, where he died shortly after 8:20 p.m.

Visitors fishing on the lake's bank were able to pull the younger brother out of shallower water, officials said.
The boy was identified as Asael Gonzalez-Guel, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. His cause of death was not released.
